FITNESS GURUS TACKLE THE HIGH PEAKS

Day 1: Heart of the Adirondacks
After leaving the city in the evening, we head north to the picturesque Village of Lake Placid, which has twice been home to the Winter Olympics. Exploring Main Street.
Day 2: Mountain Lakes of the High Peaks
In the early morning, we start our hike heading straight into the heart of the High Peaks. Starting with a gradual ascent towards our first mountain pass, we soon reach an obstacle filled trail squeezed between a narrow lake on one side and steep cliffs towering above us on the other. After passing one more mountain lake, we set up camp for the night.
Day 3: New York's 2nd Highest Peak
On this day, we start heading steeply uphill, quickly getting above treeline and into one of the few alpine zones of our beloved state. The highlight of our Adventure is next as we reach the summit of the 2nd highest point in New York, affording us 360 views of the High Peaks, including Mount Marcy, the highest point in the state. We hike downhill, finish off our route and head back to New York City in the evening.

•Dinner on Day 1 & Day 3 during transportation between Brooklyn, NY and Lake Placid, NY
•Round-Trip Transportation between Brooklyn, NY and Lake Placid, NY in a comfortable passenger van
•Highway Tolls & Parking Fees
Backpacking Fitness Adventure Does Not Include:
•Medical Insurance of Any Kind
The backpacking route we will hike is rated as moderate/hard.
Day 1: 5.6 miles and 1,200 feet elevation gain.
Day 2: 5.5 miles and 2,300 feet elevation gain.
Since we are backpacking, we will each have a backpack weighing 20-25 pounds containing all necessary equipment for the duration of the hike. Participants must be in adequate physical condition to complete this route.

Booking Your Spot:
Accepted payment methods are Credit Card, Venmo, QuickPay, PayPal or Cash.
A $150 deposit is required to lock in your spot, if for any unexpected circumstance you can’t make it, the deposit can be applied to any future tour. The $150 deposit is refunded at the end of the Adventure, upon arrival to New York City on Sunday evening.
Note on Adventure:
The adventure will be postponed if chances of rain are 50% or greater as per The Weather Channel forecast 24 hours prior to tour departure.
Although I do my very best to adhere to the tour schedule, the itinerary is subject to change for numerous reasons beyond my control (weather conditions, road/trail closures, etc.).
